Studio Twist, well-known provider of knits for hotels, spas and resorts, celebrates five years of combining style, luxury and elegance with ease of maintenance to create durable, washable, top-of-bed knitted accessories that are anti-microbial, eco-friendly and thermal dynamic – ideal in warm or cold climates. Studio Twist quickly carved out a niche as a superior quality, exclusive to the industry supplier, and true working partner to designers and project managers.
Studio Twist blankets, throws, bed scarves and pillows are knit in a variety of yarns and colors to render classic yet dramatic design concepts that speak to the needs of the hospitality market. To bring its ever-growing collection of patterns to life, Studio Twist has continually developed new yarn colors in their core PolyPropylene Yarn Atlas, adding chenille PolyPlush® and more recently Space-Dyed yarns, that add textural appeal and broaden the depth of the always evolving color palette. Among other notable accomplishments is the development of the patented BedSok® Box Spring Cover, a novel yet practical solution to enhance the often boring or unsightly box spring.
The Team at Studio Twist, founded and led by Michelle Wildenhaus, long known for her savvy in Hospitality, has become a presence in the industry since its inception, exhibiting at national and regional trade shows and events throughout the US, always supporting key industry organizations such as NEWH. Wildenhaus recently served as a Panelist for BDNY Power Players: Women Leaders in Hospitality Breakfast and Panel Discussion. This early morning session showcased thought leaders who shared their insights in hospitality design, operations, investment and manufacturing at this BDNY signature event, presented in New York City, in partnership with NEWH. Studio Twist has put a new spin on team effort and working professionalism, raising the bar with representatives chosen for excellent service and expertise in the hospitality design arena.
Always conscious of the community it serves, Studio Twist supports charitable organizations that resonate with their mission, including “Are You Dense Advocacy”, for women fighting breast cancer, “The Statue of Liberty – Ellis Island Foundation”, and “The International Folk Art Alliance”. Studio Twist has been recognized and awarded certification by the NWBOC (National Women Business Owners Corporation), the first national certifier of Women Business Enterprise.
To celebrate this milestone and to say “Thank You” to the designers who have included them in so many key projects, Studio Twist will sponsor an Anniversary Design Contest, the winning design to be produced and exhibited this Fall. Details to be announced soon.
